Construction of processing line going smoothly The construction of the ARN Recycling line can be followed daily on the ARN website. What is not evident on the website is that, over the last few weeks, the process was started of installing the electrical connections for the machines. This is a huge job: a total of 12 km of cables are being installed between the machines and the central switch boxes. Fine particle filter In addition, the fine particle filter has been installed outside the hall. Approximately 200,000 m³ of ventilation air per hour are removed from the production hall to minimise the concentration of fine particles. The filter removes particles from the ventilation air to ensure that only clean air is released to the outside environment. Successful trade mission – ARN Advisory Pieter Kuiper, consultant at ARN Advisory, participated in a trade mission to the Russian Federation. The mission was supported by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and intended for companies active in the automotive industry. During the mission, it became clear that various Russian companies are familiar with the reputation of ARN as an authority in the area of car recycling, and this was a good basis for Kuiper to participate in various discussions. ARN carries out study into in-house vehicle dismantlement ARN Auto Recycling (ARN) regularly has to deal with environmental offences, fraud and vehicle criminality. These activities have a negative impact on the sector and the dismantling companies associated with the ARN. It is a form of unfair competition and also damages the public image of the companies that operate honestly. The abuses mentioned above are difficult to get a handle on, and the ARN has therefore initiated a study to identify and characterise these practices with the aim of reducing vehicle criminality.
